Vast Space Expands: New Satellites on the Horizon

Vast Space's New Venture
Vast Space, known for its ambitious plans to develop a private space station, is now venturing into the satellite market. Following the successful launch of a demonstration spacecraft, the company announced its intention to sell high-powered satellite buses designed for various demanding missions. These satellites will support applications ranging from telecommunications to data services, marking a significant diversification in Vast's product line.
The first offering is a 15 kW-class satellite bus, measuring approximately 3 meters long and 4 meters tall, with a mass of 700 kg and a payload capacity of at least 350 kg. With a design lifetime of five years, these satellites are intended to operate in low-Earth orbit and lunar orbit. Vast has already secured a customer for four satellites, with the potential for up to 200 more, aiming for a launch of at least 10 satellites by late 2027.
