While this achievement is noteworthy, it comes with the caveat that much of the solar energy generated is consumed on-site, particularly from rooftop installations, and does not reach the grid.

Despite coal's continued decline, solar energy has been rapidly growing, driven by its cost-effectiveness. In April, coal accounted for 12% of grid power, while solar contributed 9.4%. This is a notable improvement from the previous year, where coal provided 14% and solar only 8.3%.
