Apple's Siri Revamp: Privacy Takes Center Stage
Apple is set to unveil a revamped Siri with a strong focus on privacy at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. Discover how this new version aims to compete with AI giants while prioritizing user data protection.

A New Era for Siri
Apple is gearing up to launch a significant update to Siri, aiming to enhance its relevance in the competitive AI landscape. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, this revamp will emphasize a privacy-centric approach, distinguishing it from other AI offerings.
The new Siri will reportedly feature a standalone app powered by Google Gemini, providing a chatbot experience similar to ChatGPT but with stricter limitations on data retention. Users will have the option to automatically delete conversations after 30 days or one year, or choose to keep them indefinitely, mirroring functionalities found in the Messages app.
This focus on privacy may serve as a strategic move to mitigate Siri's shortcomings compared to rival products. While Apple positions itself as a leader in user data protection, the collaboration with Google raises questions about the extent of control over user information.
